CROSSING THE WATERS

Bahamians have a rich and intricate history with communities and places in America, which is often overlooked. I was involved as Director of Photography, shooting and editing, this documentary that highlights the influence of Bahamian pioneers in the development of South Florida. The film is a combination of entertainment and education, and it helps connect people by sharing the stories of the people, events, places, and experiences that Bahamians have shared in South Florida.

The Gulf’s Deadly Harvest

Sally Kestin, an investigative reporter, and photojournalist Taimy Alvarez from the South Florida Sun Sentinel won the Emmy award for their three-part series. The series highlights the Gulf Coast's raw oyster industry and the consumers who were sickened or killed after consuming raw oysters containing Vibrio vulnificus, a type of bacteria that grows in Gulf waters. The series reveals how elected leaders in Gulf states twisted the facts about the cost of regulating Vibrio vulnificus. I shot and edited the award-winning investigation.
